Located in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Avalon Pier is a fun beachie that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 150 meters providing some great sections for manoeuvres. It might be worth a walk down the beach to find a quieter sandbar.

What are the best surf conditions for Avalon Pier?

Gets good from waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer.
