Located just off of Long Island in New York, Fire Island is a barrier island ringed with sandy beaches that offer up great beach break waves. The coast here is about 30 miles long, offering up hollow and powerful waves that break for up to 100 meters. Bring a 4WD to explore the numerous breaks and waves along this beach.
Gets good from waist high to triple overhead. We recommend riding your longboard when smaller and your shortboard when bigger. Fire Island is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers.
