More on Stone Harbor

Located in Cape May, New Jersey, Stone Harbor is a long beach with many jetties and groynes that form great sandbars. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 150 meters providing easygoing sections for longboarding.

What are the best surf conditions for Stone Harbor?

Gets good from waist high to overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here most days, although a shortboard will work when it is bigger. All levels of surfers will have fun here, although the current can be surprising for beginners. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and can get ridiculously crowded (9/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells are from the Southeast. The sandbars usually work on all tides.

We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer More...
