Located in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Margate Pier is an alright break that breaks over a sand bottom. This wave is easy to surf and breaks for up to 100 meters on either side of the pier, providing great sections for turns and hacks.
What are the best surf conditions for Margate Pier?
Gets good from chest high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when bigger. Margate Pier is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and can get insanely crowded (10/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells from the Southeast. Look for a mid to low tide.
