Located in Northern Maine, Pine Point Beach is a mediocre beach break that peels over a sand bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some great sections for turns, hacks, and carves.
What are the best surf conditions for Pine Point Beach?
Gets good from chest high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when it is smaller and a shortboard when it is bigger. This beach is suitable for all levels of surfers depending on the size of the swell. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and is generally uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southeast. Works best on low to mid tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 18 degrees. In winter a 5/4 is necessary for the 3-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
