More on Fourchon

Located on the coast of Louisiana, Fourchon is a semi-decent beach break that peels over a sand bottom. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 50 meters providing sections for manoeuvres.

What are the best surf conditions for Fourchon?

Gets good from waist high to occasionally overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here most days and a shortboard for the rare bigger ones. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and can get a little busy when there are waves (5/10). The best winds are from the North or Northwest. The best swells are from the East, South, Southeast, and Southwest. Works on all tides.
