Located on Lake Michigan in Michigan, Wind Point is a decent reef break set-up that offers up some mellow rollers when a big east swell hits. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a rock and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Wind Point?
Gets good between waist-high and chest-high, and doesn’t get much bigger. We recommend riding a longboard here. This break is good for all levels of surfer. The surf here is not consistent (2/10) and will be uncrowded (2/10). The best winds are from the East which also brings the swell from the East. Works on all tides or lack thereof because it is a lake.
