Located on the East coast of Florida, Main Street Pier is a fun jetty set up breaking over a sand bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and breaks for up to 100 meters providing some great sections for manoeuvres. Handles size well, usually does not max out.
What are the best surf conditions for Main Street Pier?
Gets good from chest high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when larger. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and can get quite crowded (8/10). The best winds are from the Southwest. The best swells are from the Southeast. Works well on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 29 degrees. In winter we recommend wearing a 3/2 when the water temperatures drop to 18 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
