Located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Jackie’s Hole is a decent beach break that offers up some thumping surf on most swells. The waves here are tricky to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
Gets good between chest-high and overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or step-up as the size picks up. This break is good for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will be uncrowded (2/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 5/4 year-round with hood and booties. The temperatures range from 11 degrees in August to 7 degrees in winter. See the temperature chart More...
