Located in Ventura County in Southern California, Port Hueneme Beach Park is an average wave that peels off the north end of a pier over a sandy bottom. The waves here are pretty straightforward to surf and break for up to 50 meters providing excellent sections for turns and manoeuvres.

This spot gets good between waist high and head high, it doesn’t handle size well. A shortboard is the best option for equipment here. The beach break here is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is consistent (6/10) and you can score decently uncrowded waves (4/10). The best winds come from the East and the best swells come from the Northwest, South, Southwest, and West. High tides are much better than lower tides.
