Located in Santa Barbara in Southern California, Sandspit is a crazy right-hand point that is formed off of a breakwater. The waves here peel over a very shallow sand bottom and can be nuts, breaking for up to 200 meters providing both barreling sections and walls for turns. The wave starts with a heavy, angled backwash, so be aware of a difficult take-off (or sit to the side and pick off the waves that buck off their rider at the start). Get it right though and you could score the wave of your life!
