Located in Southern Orange County in Southern California, Agate/Pearl Street is a mediocre reef break that peels over a rock and sand bottom. The waves here can be a bit tricky to surf, breaking for 50 meters and serving up sections for turns and hacks.
What are the best surf conditions for Agate/Pearl Street?
This spot gets good between waist high and overhead. A shortboard is the way to go here, although a longboard will work when smaller. Intermediate and advanced surfers will find the most joy here. The surf here is not super consistent (5/10) and will usually have a crowd with mellow vibes (7/10). Offshore winds come from the East. Needs a mid-sized Northwest, West, or Southwest swell. Best on a medium tide.
