Located in North Orange County, Southern California, Newport Beach is an excellent beach break that breaks over shifty sandbars. The waves here can be steep and fast, breaking for 50 meters and offering up perfect little tubes when good.
Gets good starting at waist high all the way up to triple overhead. A shortboard here is best most days, but a longboard will work when it is small. Newport Beach will have opportunities for all levels of surfer, but when size arrives it is best for intermediate and advanced surfers.
