Located in Palos Verdes, Southern California, 64th Place is a mediocre artificial reef break that peels over a reef and sand bottom. The waves here are easy to surf, weak, and mushy, breaking for up to 50 meters providing great sections for cruising on a longboard. Can be polluted.
Gets good from waist high to overhead. We recommend a longboard only here. Best for beginners, but intermediates and advanced surfers won’t have a problem enjoying the slow rides. The surf here is not consistent (4/10) and will have a group on it when it is working (7/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. It needs a big South or Southwest swell to work. Breaks best on mid tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit More...
