North of Santa Cruz in Central California is Davenport Landing. Davenport is a fun left-hand reef break that peels over a rocky bottom. The waves here can be a bit challenging to surf, and break for up to 100 meters serving up hollow sections for tubes.
Gets good between head high and triple overhead. We recommend a longboard when it’s small and a shortboard when it gets a bit bigger. The waves here are best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. It is a pretty consistent spot (5/10) and will be crowded on weekends (7/10).
