Found in Western Ventura County, Little Rincon is a decent right point break that provides fast hollow sections for barrels all the way down the line. Some waves here can be challenging and break for up to 150 meters over the boulder covered bottom. The waves here are not as good as Rincon but can be a decent alternative. Loves a big winter swell and lower tides and check it from the highway.
What are the best surf conditions for Little Rincon?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here, although anything fast will work. Little Rincon is best for intermediate and advanced surfers, shallow rocks make it a bit dangerous for beginners. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and usually will have a crew on it (6/10). The best winds are Northeast, the best swells are West and Northwest, and the best tides are lower.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to a warm 18 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temperatures drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
