Located in South Bay, Los Angeles, Southern California, Sunset Blvd is a quality point break that peels over a reef and sand bottom. Some waves here can be a bit tricky to surf and break for up to 300 meters providing great sections for manoeuvres and cruising. The water here is always polluted.
What are the best surf conditions for Sunset Blvd?
Gets good between waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when bigger. Sunset Blvd is best for intermediate and advanced surfers although it will be full of beginners. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and can get similar to a zoo (8/10). The best winds are from the Northeast and East. The best swells are from the Southwest and West. Works best on a mid-tide.
