Located in Palos Verdes, Los Angles County, Southern California, Haggerty’s is a fun point/reef break that rolls over a boulder covered bottom. The waves here can be a bit challenging, and break for up to 150 meters, providing opportunities for turns, hacks, and carves. There are three distinct take-off spots here, the main peak being the middle one.
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend a shortboard here when bigger and a longboard when smaller. Haggerty’s is best for intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and usually has a crew (6/10). Expect bad manners when it’s good. The best winds are offshore Southeast. The best swells come from the Northwest, Southwest, or West. This break More...
