Located in Delaware, Indian River is a quality river mouth that breaks over a well-defined sand bar. The waves here can be long and easy to surf, breaking for up to 200 meters providing some great sections for manoeuvres and cruising. Sometimes polluted and can be crowded in summer, but vibes are generally mellow.
Best between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard most days but a shortboard will work when the swell really picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will always have a crew on it (7/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells come from the East, Northeast, South, and Southeast. Works well on all tides.
