Located in Delaware, Dewey Beach is a mediocre beachie that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters providing some fun sections for manoeuvres. Usually closing out around waist-high, if you catch it on the right day it can be very good.
Gets good from around chest high to head high. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when bigger. All levels of surfers will find success here depending on the swell. The surf here does not get good often (2/10) and will be absolutely packed in the summer but empty other times (8/10). The best winds are offshore from the West. The best swells come from the East, Northeast, and Southeast. More...
