Located in Delaware, Bethany Beach is an alright jetty setup that breaks over a rock and sand bottom. The waves here are straightforward to surf and break for up to 100 meters. On a good day, the waves will throw some great tubes out for you.
What are the best surf conditions for Bethany Beach?
Gets really good around the overhead mark. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when bigger. This wave is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and can get crowded when the waves are on (7/10). The best winds are offshore from the West. The best swells are from the East. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temps rise to 25 degrees. In winter we recommend wearing a 5/4 when water temps plunge to 5 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
