The world famous right hander Nias, is locoated right in front of the Nias Keyhole Surf Camp.
Access to Nias main brea is literally right in front of the hotel.
With the Nias islands being one of the most consistent locations around, Nias Keyhole Surf Camp also has access to Indicator, 8-frame, Walo Hiu, Sobatu, Rockstar, The Machine and the beach break inside Lagundi Bay which is a great learning spot.
With many roads recently improved, guests can now also travel to and surf many of the breaks on the west coast which were previously only accessible by boat.
Aside from the great location, the accommodation is cheap, clean and affordable. Timotius “Timmy” & Santi Wau take great pride in keeping their family run hotel clean for guests.
Every room has two beds that can be made into a large double, a fan, and also a private flushing toilet.
Timmy also operates tours on the KM. Ono Niha boat that boasts four bedrooms and can accommodate up to 12 guests.
Timmy has worked on surf charters since 1997 and is knowledgable in the Mentawai’s, Tello’s, Banyak and Nias areas.
Many guests may enjoy meeting and trading with and visiting the many local villages either with or without a local guide. Some even trying the famous Beetle nut! Other activities include snorkeling and table tennis.
Nias Kehole Surf Camp now has cell phone reception and a wi-fi hotspot is available.
The large balcony is a great place to watch the waves whilst enjoying a cold beer or two, and serves as a great hangout area with a DVD player and sound system.
