Located on the Orkney Islands in Scotland, Marwick is a small town that has a few fickle slabs around it. The reefs here are quality and provide some deep pits for those able to catch and ride them. The waves here are not easy to surf so bring your A-game, they break for up to 50 meters over rock bottoms.
What are the best surf conditions for Marwick?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here when smaller and a step up as the size picks up. These breaks are suitable for intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will usually be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are usually from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, Southwest, and West. There will be a wave working at any given tide.
