Located in Southwestern England, Sidmouth is a pretty good beach break that offers up some decent sections for manoeuvres when the conditions line up. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Sidmouth?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the East, South, Southeast, and Southwest. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when temps plunge to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
