Located in Southern England, Kimmeridge is a fun collection of reef breaks favoured by longboarders. The waves here are not always easy to surf (and can get shallow) and break for up to 100 meters over a rock bottom. Performance sections can be on offer, but the waves here are pretty mellow.
What are the best surf conditions for Kimmeridge?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here most of the time and a shortboard if the size really steps up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here does not break very often (3/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when the water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
