Located in Newquay, England, Lusty Glaze is a fun, peaky beach break that offers up some good sections for turns and hacks on smaller swells. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom. This is the site for an annual night surf event.
What are the best surf conditions for Lusty Glaze?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is somewhat consistent (5/10) and will usually be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on a low to mid tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
