Located in Northern Cornwall, Polzeath is a quality beach break that offers up good performance-based walls. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Polzeath?
Gets good between waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard then step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and therefore also crowded (7/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best in the 9-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
