Located in Cornwall and South Devon, England, Marazion is a good right-hand reef break that starts with a barrel section before tailing off into the beach break shorey. The waves here can be challenging to surf and break for up to 150 meters over a rock and sand bottom. This spot is off the beaten track.
What are the best surf conditions for Marazion?
Gets good between head high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or a step up here depending on the size. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best wind are from the Northeast. The best swell direction is from the Southwest. Works on a low to mid-tide.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
