Located in the Channel on the French side is Yport, an excellent reef setup that breaks over a rock bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some great sections for manoeuvres. Watch out for a strong rip that is always in play.

What are the best surf conditions for Yport?

Gets good from waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. The break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and can get quite busy during the holidays (5/10). The best winds are from the Southwest. The best swells are from the North, Northeast, Northwest, and West.
