Located on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia, Salmon Hole is a fun, hollow, right point that breaks over a rock bottom. The waves are challenging and sucky breaking for 50 meters. They deliver nice barrels, often more makeable on a bodyboard, but just as fun on a surfboard. It is incredibly scenic here, and there are some other spots in the area making it worth exploring.
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend a shortboard or step up to surf here. Salmon hole is best for intermediate and advanced surfers due to the steep and sucky nature of the wave.
