More on First Point (Noosa)

First Point is the smallest of the five points in Noosa but holds great shape. The home of quite a few longboard competitions through the year it’s an ideal log wave. Can break for up to 100m depending on the sand.  Only really starts working when the swell is East or North Easterly.

When its on it gets busy with a talented crew of local mal riders. Its a relatively gently wave and therefore attracts beginners who come far an wide for a slice of Noosa’s paradise. Watch out for locals and beginners flinging boards in all directions! Sitting too deep will often mean not making the first section only to watch someone else snag your wave. Bring your patience and a smile and you’ll have fun on a longer board.  Has More...
