More on Coronation

Located on the Batavia Coast,  Western Australia, Coronation is a fun, dependable beach break over a sandy bottom. The punchy, peaky waves here require a bit of skill to surf and can break for up to 100 meters, providing sections for turns and airs.

What are the best surf conditions for Coronation?

Gets good between waist-high to triple overhead. We recommend riding your longboard or standard shortboard when bigger here. Coronation is suitable for all levels of surfer, beginner to advanced. The surf here is usually present (6/10) but is often crowded, especially on weekends (9/10). The best winds for Coronation are East, and watch out for the afternoon winds, which generally shred the conditions to tatters. The best swell direction is from the South, Southwest and West, and it works on all tides.
