Durban Beaches get good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if small and a shortboard then stepping up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is consistent (6/10) and will get insanely crowded (9/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East, South, or Southeast. It works on all tides.
